Railroad Lake ?

Posted in: Muscatine

According to a article in the Journal by Johnnie Crain, it is in the area but I have never heard of it.

Also I know some of those articles leave a lot to be desired.

I'm not sure that I would say that Blackhawk County is really in our area - but it isn't far. Waterloo/Cedar Falls are the "big" cities. I just googled railroad lake and found the one there. I had never heard of it either - my Dad worked on the railroad all of his life so anything that says railroad always gets my attention. Besides - my handle IS justcurious.

Seriously, when you go to the website you can download maps and LOTS of info about the area. Probably could be a day trip - or two if you liked it.

I checked the Scott County Conservation website and they list Railroad Lake as one of the lakes at West Lake Park.
