How do you go about getting a speed bump placed on your street. I have seen rubber speed bumps that can be removed at a later time, then there are the speed humps that are built into the street.
I live on Grand Ave and have noticed so much traffic from cars trying to not hit the lights, and they just fly down my street at all hours of the day, or late late at night after bar time and they are trying not to be seen on a main road by a cop.
The other day my 2 year old tried to run into the street and I took off after her and this lady who almost hit her looked at me like I was some crazy lady, and I know why...she didn't see my daughter and to top it off she didn't even slow down once she seen me running into the street (I am working on getting my yard fenced in). Also the bus has a stop across the street from my house which no one ever uses so they fly down the street also. They are all going way over the 25 mph speed limit. So I just thought maybe having even just a temporary speed bump placed may work a bit.
