Gas prices in the US seem to be in line with those in the rest of the world, better than some, worse then others. Germany $11.00 per gallon, France $9.00 per gallon, Portugal $8.00 per gallon, Venezuella,$2.00 per gallon. Brazil fuels 13 million cars with Ethanol that is sugar based. Gee if they can do it why can't we? We've brought all of this on ourselves and have no one to blame except ourselves. The US has not allowed the contsruction of a new refinery in over 30 years. We beat up on anyoen who wants to build a nuclear power plant (80% of all electricity in France is nuclear generated) and the Greens and Democrat will not let the oil companies drill in Anwar, although the State of Alaska is in favor of it. So look in the mirror and say "this is your fault" because it is, we should have started to fix this after that mess when Carter was President. But, we never learn that history repeats itslef and we should learn from the past. |
