Muscatine

Well, my kid has lasted 1 week in the Marines boot camp.

They say when a recruit gets off the bus, that he should look around because 1/3 of the recruits will be gone and at home sleeping before he even gets a good nights sleep.

I got a call from him the other night and it was a monotoned message from him on his where abouts and to write him and his graduation date. Then he hung up.

Let's pray that this boy makes it through bootcamp so he can go fight for our fat a$$es and our freedom.

It'll get better eventually. My own sons said it takes time to adjust to the pace. They got pretty tired at first. Wait 'til he goes through survival training. Ya gits ta learn to build fires in all conditions, eat snakes, grubs and other creepy-crawly things and other good stuff.
