NEWSFLASH!

All politicians lie!

Enough said!

No, that is not enough said.  There is a difference between a lie that gets one elected, or that costs a few dollars or some mild discomfort, and one that costs thousands upon thousands of lives, much of it innocent lives.  Some lies raise to the level of being criminal not just because of who they lied to, but because of what the lie produced, caused.

I agree with that 100%! a lie or a vote against the constitution should be impeachable offense. they swear on the bible to defend, protect and obey the constitution. they need to be held accountable when they drift from the constitution. yeah there are liars in both parties. In fact I would bet there is a majority of them. We are to blame for we do nothing about it. how long are the American people going to put up with these criminals. It's WE THE PEOPLE. We need to make them accountable. choice is yours, the lesser of two evils or a change, a change back to the constitution we have drifted from over the last century.  This is AMERICA  why do we borrow from a Communist country, is that not supporting communism.  when our elected official votes to abridge one of our rights, that is a violation of the law they swear to uphold and obey. so they should be removed and in that way they know what will happen if they break the law.  just cause they make laws don't mean they are above the law. mahalo America the land of the free.

I don't believe this is what the poster was referring to, but it raises a interesting point. Our forefather (who I believe we're some of the smartest people of all time) wrote, presented, and gave America one of the greatest and best written Constitutions. I truly believe they thought of everything when they wrote it.

However the greatest thing they remembered while they wrote those famous words was that times change. With time and change there would be a need to address certain issue of that document. Not knowing at what time or what change or even what issue they allowed the government to have the freedom to make amendments to that very document. They made the process difficult to assure no decisions could be made without careful thought.

So, while I agree that a lie that suggest a constitutionally illegal act should be impeachable, a vote to change a constitutional issue is the American way

Gotta love those liberals! Do as I say; not as I do.

"Committee Vice Chairman Christopher S. Bond (R-Mo.) called the new report a "waste of time" and said the allegations about administration officials were deliberately misleading. "It is ironic that the Democrats would knowingly distort and misrepresent the Committee's findings and the intelligence in an effort to prove that the Administration distorted and mischaracterized the intelligence," he said.

Bond also noted that key Democrats -- including several who ran for their party's presidential nomination this year -- also made public statements during the same period portraying Iraq's weapons as a threat to the United States. Those statements were omitted from the report over Republican objections, resulting in a flagrantly partisan document that is "flawed, incomplete and irrelevant," he said."

What makes Bond correct?  Doesn't he have a political interest to say that?  So, why would his word be accepted without challenge?

The fact is this report doesn't stand alone.  We also have the IG saying Fieth used intel inappropriately.  He didn't work for democrats, but instead blostered the Bush case using highly suspect intel.  Anyone who can read can see that the statements Bush and his people made did not match the facts, or what we actually did know.  It is highly partisan to ignore that and pretend otherwise.  Most of the world was not convinced of what we argued and that is why we had to go ouside the UN.
