Thanks Hoppy and Agent 99,
I'm just kind of concerned because he is a leader and I heard the Marines work harder on under-achievers and the over-achievers. They have to break you down, so they can build you up. I hope my boy ain't that bullheaded that they can't break him down. So far he ain't at my front door yet, so that is a good thing. He has dreamed of being a Marine since he was 12. He signed up when he was 17. He passed the test when he was this age and continued till he graduated. (You have to understand that he did not graduate on time, and I booted him out when he was 18.~To make a man of him. He got his own place, still went to school and worked a job, graduated and now he is in bootcamp.) I give him kudos for sticking with his education and getting a diploma instead of a G.E.D. (Marines do not accept g.e.d.s, only diplomas.) I give him this kudos because it is hard for poor kid to get a diploma from MHS, than a rich jock. (Don't even try to post on this, as he has had teachers laugh in his face for wanting to become a Marine and defend his country. Don't make me name names.) I will have to name one name--"Mr.T.---- he is the best teacher at Mhs. He was the only teacher that could grab ahold of my son and ACTUALLY teach him something. I can't thank him enough for all the good he has done for our family (Mr. T. has worked with many of the boys in our family and taught them how to be respectful men.)
I know exactly what my boy is going through at bootcamp, step by step, so if you have any questions, feel free to ask....you just might be shocked at the answers.
