Hello All,

 Going  to Costa Rica and Panama this August, any advice?

Don't go to the touristy coast of Costa Rica. Americans very often get robbed there on the street; bills in restaurants and bars are inflated when you are done eating/drinking and they call the local cops on you when you complain, who make you pay them off and pay the high bill.

Likewise...anything left in hotels while sight-seeing will be gone through and stolen because there is nothing you can do about it.

Traveler beware!!! It happened to my relative.

any other comments?  I have already booked the trip
