well lets me open up for you. first off I have one of each. my dad's brother when he was 19 and it was 1969 was beat to death by 3 LAPD officers(story in a min). my great grandpa (on my dads side also) was CHP(California highway patrol). my moms sister's husband was a rock island detective who was forced into retirement ( in the 80s) for his open abuse of people he arrested. they asked him to keep his abuse low key and he would not. my g. grandpa was a professional law man. A great man who did his job right. my uncle(the RIPD- rock island police department) was a legal criminal, because it was criminal what he did every day. legal because his bosses knew what he did and allowed it to continue. now I was to young to know if his abuse ever caused any deaths, he very well could have. he used to say " if I arrest you, you get beat, but if you are of a different race you get beat worse. that is a criminal. and yeah he beat my aunt too.  so here is my point. is this not a land of laws. and if so do the cops, senators, congressmen, prosecutors, president and anybody else that works for our government suppose to follow the law. so what about guys like my great grandpa who did their job with honor and respect for the badge. does these guys not tarnish his badge. when you commit the same crimes as the bad guys are you not just like them if not worse, because you are suppose to be from a better cut, have higher morals and honor. see if know one follows the rules of law is that not lawlessness(anarchy). we have a system design to treat ever one equally. yeah that means even the bad guys. what if that was your son who got gunned down hours before his wedding. I know that cops are killed all the time and it is a sad fact that it  happens, but in the same breath they chose the line of work and they knew the dangers going in. now I am not saying in anyway that it is their fault or they deserve it, just that it is fact that police work is very dangerous. see I believe that police should conduct themselves like a professional, even when things get out of hand. that badge is not permission to do as one pleases, there are still laws that everyone has to follow.  would you want to bury your son over a misdemeanor, because my grand parents did! and so did the parents of that groom who was gunned down. now I watch cops and AMW every saturday, when fox is not broadcasting a sports event, and I wanted to do the bounty hunting thing(after watching Dog). so I do respect and admire law enforcement and the job they do. so that is my opinion and a little back ground of where my opinion came from. the story of my unlce's death is private and I don't want people to say mean and dumb stuff like above. if you care give me a email and I might share with you. this is a serious post and I don't see any humor in it. what those officers did was wrong. would the preacher of your church feel the same as you do. I think not and what about your post, are they church like statements. I think not. Dr. Martin luther King jr beleived that to lower yourself to there level made you just the same.

He who passively accepts evil is as much involved in it as he who helps to perpetrate it. He who accepts evil without protesting against it is really cooperating with it.
Martin Luther King, Jr.

So, why do some people feel they must "push the envelope"? Why not just stay within the law, avoid arrest and live a long, happy life?

Amen!!! Living within the law really isn't that bad is it? It works for the majority of we humans - but as they say "there's one in every crowd".

So what? Don't "F" with the cops..........it's that simple. Dorks that have problems with situations like these have probably on the wrong side of the law anyway. Right?
