I was just wondering since I heard they where putting the gates up over on 2nd st. Are they trying to keep the water in HON? I mean look...one side of the gate goes all up hill so the water really isn't going to go that way, and putting the gates up just helps keep the water there for HON.

I know maybe I am having a blond moment or something I don't know, but wouldn't it just be smarter to build like large gates that go on each side of the bridge over mad creek that can open and close like the lock and dam? You know keep the water on it's own side of the wall without really reaching the street.

I know blond women shouldn't be thinking so hard....LOL

the gates keep the water out of a high spot on 2nd and within other levee heights and the river - so that water does not roll down 2nd toward hon.

but what do i know, and i'm not even a blond. are you really a blond?
