Here is the big question.  If players and parents and just plain old sports fans support the coaches what are you going to do about the trend of replacing the coaches?  Have you any plans to go to a board meeting or call the board members.  How about a well written petition?  No one will know you are unhappy and nothing will change unless people speak out.

The Atheletic Director has to go, pure and simple.

Van Hecke was a hard guy to replace, no doubt - but it doesn't take much to see what's going on here is a power-mongering AD who is out of control.  While Godwin was never expected to possess the qualities Chuck demonstrated, I don't think we as parents enjoy seeing some of the underhanded tactics he's employed with our kids.

Grow a pair, supe - and terminate this clown's contract before you start watching your student population (and dollars) being shifted to other schools where parents have more faith in the people running their kids' education.

Thanks for your input its, nedl, klevarsky & janitor!  We're new at this & desperately wish that politics & egos were not a part of making a difference in our teen's developmental years.  We WISH that the people we entrust our son with had HIS BEST INTEREST at heart, not their wishes, dreams & aspirations.  YEAH, I get it, come down to earth, right?   We have been so lucky with the coaches all of our children have been exposed to.  Terry Youngbauer was one of them.  Terry Youngbauer was one of them!  He cared, gave good advice & knew the strengths & weaknesses of all the boys.  He worked with what he had.

Janitor had a great point...  had we known a bit ahead of time; maybe we could have, or should have come forward.  Of course, there is a fear that goes along with that?  Our kids are already feeling vulnerable because they are TEENS?!  They want to play the sport they choose.  If a parent makes waves...in our tiny little town... what could happen?  Every parent gets this.  We have all been there guys.  Kids can work just about anything out between themselves.  Get parents involved & all Heck breaks loose.  Parents hold grudges, forever.  It's easier to stick up for what is right when it involves us!  It's hard when we have to involve our children.  Maybe we don't give them enough credit?  It's time to talk to my son.  He respected & appreciated coach TY'S input.  I guess I need to find out if he's willing to take a stand @ the age his is, or let him be a kid.

It really sucks that people entrusted with his "formative years" care more about... Never mind.  It's sad.  I get it, time to come down to earth, right?
