consider this factoid that is not does not get much attention except in the reality of our US of A lives (nor is it generally included in any mention of the war cost):

oil = $100/barrel. it was $30/barrel (i think it was even $10-20/barrel in the clinton administration). anyway - an extra $70/barrel x 20 million barrel a day (the US of A usage) x 365 days = $511 BILLION.
