I don't think that there is any disagreement that second hand smoke is harmful to your health as is GPC and all other pollution in the air. There are a million things that are bad for your health, such as drinking alcohol. It has second hand effects when someone gets in a car and kills someone or them selves. It goes hand in hand with pollution also, happening at the same time. Food can be bad for your health causing you to be overweight, and the seconhand effects of that are diabetes, high cholesterol, heart attacks, strokes. There are second hand effects to everything that is bad for you and other issues that need as much passion put into it. I am a former smoker and I still believe it is your choice to smoke and if others dont like it then dont go near the smoker. As a new non smoker, I have seen both sides and there are more opportunities to go places for a non smoker then there is a smoker, so sqeezing them out is working. But I am not a drinker and I really wish that there was stricter alcohol laws. It seems really silly to lock cigarettes behind one aisle(i.e. Wal-mart) yet have aisles and aisles of alcohol available to kids. (Yes they are getting it even with asking for IDS, any one who doesnt think they are has there head in the sand)Smokers are supposed to be responsible for everyone around thems health and who are the people complaining about second hand smoke?? Drinkers, Gamblers, Obese people. Arent they ruining their own health??? Are they looking to place the blame on a smoker when they get a disease they caused them selves because maybe they sat in the same room as a smoker did at a restaurant? I want all these people posting all the statistics and issues about "smelly smoke" to look at there own lifestyles and see what they are doing to themselves first, and then what they do to others. I will post some statistics about drinking, eating, driving, and all the other evils that lead us to death.
