Muscatine

It seems to me that Machlink is getting worse and worse. My computer has been so slow for the last few weeks that it's almost unusable. I know it's not my computer because virtually everybody I know has the same problem. I wish there was some competition other than Qwest. I've been debating switching, but I've also heard there are some issues there, so I don't want to go from one problem to another. I'm trying to take a Spanish course on line and there are days it's almost impossible to do anything with it because it's so slow. Depressing. :-(

I don't even bother to call anymore, It doesn't do any good. Either you get an answering machine or if they by chance do answer, they say they are working on it.  Usually they try and tell me they are not having a problem.  Yeah right !!!

Other than the email problem today, I haven't had any problems for quite some time.  I've always had good speeds.  I did receive some emails from 2004 though.  Apparently John Kerry still needs money for his campaign.  Should I send him a post dated check?

   I have a very good friend that works for Power & Water, and, here's what he tells me.  And, it seems to work.  When you computer starts to run slow on you, unplug the power cord from the cable modem.  Leave it off, for about 5 minutes.  While doing that, shut down, and restart your computer.  Plug the power chord back into your cable modem.  AFTER it powers up, make sure ALL lights are lit (with the one fartherest to the left blinking).  It's always helped speed my computer up.  Of course, you may want to defragment your computer.  And, you may have some registry problems.  I found almost 200 on the kids computer, yesterday.  That's why I was needing my email.  Have a GREAT day!  Tom.
