I was down by the river the other day and almost ran home to get my pole. I'm a itchin to fish!
I just gave one of my boys the last of my catfish from my freezer for him to cook up with his friends.

Drunkenfool, Better get to getting, before the river really raises! I don't think that you can rely on Browns Fish Market anymore, I think that they shut down, didn't they? Tom. |

I can't wait to go fishing but I think when spring gets here and the flooding starts fishing is gonna be bad for quite awhile. As for Browns, they have not been in business for years and the one in New Boston has went out too. Does anyone know where there is a nice fish market these days.

Paintlady34, Guess I'm out of the loop. Haven't been to Browns in years. Guess I just figured that they'd always be there! Maybe if I had gone a little more often, they still would be! Anyway, I just looked at the Muscatine river level, and, it's supposed to go up by 3.5' by Tuesday. I think that it said 7.6' right now. That's according to the Corp. of Engineers. It was 5. something, just a couple of days ago. Thank God we don't live on the Rock River. |
