Has anyone noticed the increase in potholes on our streets?  I swear I saw a Volkswagen get swalled by one of our "black holes". Laughing Is the weather causing them to get worse?  I hit one the other day and I think my trasmission fell out.  I try to avoid them or slow down when I can, but it's not always possible.  I would rather hit a pothole than move into oncoming traffic to avoid it.  The city has fixed some of them.  Leroy St. used to be really bad.  They fixed a section of it and it's great.  I'm sure the city is aware of the problem, but what are they going to do about it?

Yeah.  It's been like driving on the moon lately, but with more gravity.  My guess is they'll be black-patching well into June.  Cry

I saw the mayor this morning on "The Mayor's Show" and they were talking with Randy Howell, the street dept. supervisor.  They are aware of the problems and plan on fixing them come spring.  They are only able to make temporary repairs to the worst potholes.  The weather needs to be warmer for permanent repairs.  At least they are aware of the problems and have a plan to fix them.  Maybe they'll find Jimmy Hoffa in one of the potholes.
