I have a couple of questions for anyone who cares to comment, including/especially NL! Why is the NL portion of machlink so darned slow? Takes forever to switch pages/discussions/posts! When I see the yellow (12), besides backround color, I'd think that you could change the font size (hence the "12"). I don't see anywhere to be able to do that, except to make it bold, and then, of course, it DOES get a "little" bigger! Like the addition of the smiley faces (wish there were more to choose from), but again, it's a nice addition. Thanks NL, but PLEASE continue to work on the speed issue. We have the luxury of cable modem here, using fiber optics for the transmission line, and, some of us have the "over the top" super high speed cable enhancement (myself being one of them). So, MAYBE this isn't so slow, it just APPEARS to be, from my standpoint. I'm just used to super fast response time, and believe me, this isn't! Have a GREAT day! Oh, by the way, I want a smiley face w/shades and a cigarette haning out of his mouth! Just trying to get my previous posts point across. Thankx again.

No it's slow on all 3 of the PC's here. It's all the clutter they added with the new format. If you ask me it's just a bunch of useless options. Emotions are a poor way for someone to express there feelings cause I may take it different then what was really ment. They should've just went with a phpBB forum instead..

Hi Tom - it's not just you; the site is very slow right now; super-duper cable modem speed won't help at all with this since the problem is on our end. The redesign already has meant more traffic, and in addition the fine folks at Google and Yahoo are busy loading every single page on our site so they can index it - great for business, not so good for our speed. We've ordered some new hardware which is hopefully on its way to us right now... as soon as it arrives I'll be spending some late nights getting it all up and running and that should make a big difference. I'll keep working on this till it's fixed!
