Ok. . . prepare for a diatribe, ya'all . . .! You have been warned! Turn back now . . .!
Let me start by saying, I LOVE this country. Then, I'd like to say this is simply more evidence that we are all asleep at the wheel--or rather, asleep in the back seat while we let others drive without checking on them, and this gets me mad as HELL. Hasn't it occured to anyone else there is a reason our southern door has been left wide open for eons without anyone doing anything about it? $$$$HELLO$$$$ I saw this in high school and thought it was odd, but made damn sure I started learning Spanish, folks. This was a multi-faceted decision, mind you, that included a strong belief that all kids should learn another language as a school-aged child, and as part of their regular education. I simply chose Spanish because I saw that it would be a "markatable" skill, and one that I already had a start on from early childhood. If I had my way, I would have also learned Italian, French, Russian, and German, and maybe I still will, but for now. . .
I've said it before, but I'll say it again, a majority of our country is well into a complacent state of mind where as long as it has no effect on them, their remote control and HD satalite TV, or their regfrigerator being full of processed foods that make their already super-convenient lifestyle even more convenient (ie. they have to do as little work as possible), then they are willing to sacrifice their own liberties and freedom to whomever for whatever purpose--to varying extents, of course, depending on the person. I am speaking in general, here, so before you get completely turned off by what I am saying, keep reading. Look, we can all say we are mad, that we are tired of our gov. running amuck, but what do we do? We sit back in our comfy chairs (that, consequently, all too many of us don't even own more than three or four payments to some Chinese bank for), and allow the corporate-owned mass media to choose our presidiential cadidates on the sly, and present them to us on (yes, again) a "convenient" platter, that just takes all the work out of it for us. (yawn!) It amazes me that more people don't see it. I mean, for crying out loud, we are taxed to death by our gov., our tax dollars are abused and basically embezzled to pay for programs that will bankrupt and destroy us in the end, that are voted into action by the people we are limited to vote for to "represent" us, so they can give themselves raises and give away more "free money" and "support" (cough--enablement), so that they can say, "Look at all I've done for you. . .," so that we will vote them back into office, so they can overtax us some more to give themselves another raise, so they can vote into action more legislation that will enslave and bind us and our children, and their children . . . Where does it end? We have already broken down our family systems in order for two parents to work in a household (out of those that still have two parents!) just so they can pay afford to live and pay their taxes with little hope of even seeing any of it when they retire, and most people are too damn busy working to pay their taxes to spend any real time investing in seeking out knowledge about who they vote for, so now, our gov. runs unsupervised for the most part, and we are looking at paying up promises to people who haven't even paid into this system, who are here illeagally, and who could give a rat's a$$ if our republic survives another decade, let alone another election, as long as the ride down their on is free, and everyone speaks to them in their language while they're on it. Now, please don't misinterpret my remarks as racially slanted or prejudiced, either. Many of my friends are immigrnats who speak Spanish, but they are all LEAGAL--well, except one, who gets crap from me ALL THE TIME, and who, unless they get their crap in order, I hope will get deported and/or punished for the choice they made to come here illeagally. You can spare me the racist crap retort, or, for those of you who also speak Spanish and are having trouble reading and understanding what I have written: Salvame/No me da la respuesta que me llama contramexicano. Mi opinion no es por la raza, es por la verdad. Illeagal is illeagal, regardless of what language you speak, or what color your skin is. Illeagals have no business reaping the benefits of a already strained, and in many ways, broken economic system that is so near the brink of total crisis and/or collapse. People who think otherwise are literally buying in to this whole scheme that will, in the end, bring an end to our country and our liberties, period.
On the flip-side, I can understand from a human perspective, why we have so many immigrants here. In many ways, it is a consequence of our complacency, ie. we didn't do anything about it. If the free hand-out are there to be had, people will line up for them, even if the end of the line happens to be south of our borders. Take away the easy access to the end of that line, then educate and empower (NOT ENABLE) those who are in the line legitimately to help themselves get OUT of the line, and get the cutters-in-line back to the end of the line (south of the border) until they can get in line fairly. The solution is, and has been quite simple all these years.
Well, you did it Dave. You got me all fired up at 5 a.m., and this damn thing took me a half-hour to type. (May the fleas of 1,000 camels infest your armpits for that, Dave!) I watched your other video, and didn't have time to comment yesterday, but after this one, boy I was ready to roll, baby, so ,much so, my morning coffee got cold! (A pox upon you for that!) You know, sometimes I sit back and I try to decifer if the views I have, and the beliefs I uphold on all this are motivated out of fear, because I think a lot of the problems our country faces are a direct result of just that--fear. I have decided that is not the case. I uphold the beliefs I do based upon a natural law and faith in what is fundamentally right and wrong, and on so many levels, our current gov. is wrong. We are voting to enslave ourselves and many generations to come if we cannot see the truth. What people are afraid of, I think, and where the fear comes in, is looking that truth in the eye, and not backing down. This is why I believe Ron Paul is the only cadidate worthy of the office. He may remind many of Ross Perot (I am soooo sick of hearing that), and he may be very passionate about his views, but I think he just is so determined to have people hear his message, one that has been silenced and lost in the noise of Washington for too long. He knows that time is running out, and so do countless others. All we can do is continue to shout this message of truth from the rooftops, and hope and pray people will hear us, listen, and not be afraid of the truth, but look fear in the eye, and beat it back with their own will with ours. United we stand, divided we fall.
