I was a company here in town last night with my husband, what I heard on the cb radio, made me mad, and I felt sorry for the spotter, the have to put jack stands under the trailers for the lazy union dock workers. I could understand the spotter doing it for his safety, but the dock workers should be the ones that put them under the trailers, if it is for there safety, and for a better peace of mind knowing that they are the ones putting them under the trailers. just my thoughts on why so many companys dont go union anymore, nobody wants to work, they want someone else to do there work for them. Spotters at this plant I feel sorry for you, and keep up the good work.

The company I worked for

made it real clear, the driver was responsible for chocking the wheels plus putting the stands under any trailer that was to be unloaded.
TRhat was the way it was done or your load was not signed in, no exceptions.

While I agree

this has to be the drivers responsiability I fully understand the union contentment.
