Isn't it interesting that the City Council can find money for some arches down at the river front, but cannot afford the cost of the police force?

Pretty soon we'll hear

that same old tired song and dance about how it's ''different'' money like we heard about the riverfront.
The city keeps building things and lacks the intelligence to realize that those who are charged with trying to keep vandals and other criminals out of our parks and away from our property are under staffed.
How about getting back to basics for awhile? Theis city council is terribly lacking in their priorites when it comes to public safety.
We read about the issues at the high school, we see police reports about crime, and then we see the way the city wants to solve those problems ''let's build an arch.'' Yep, makes perfect sense. Nonsense.
