If the Savior stood beside me, would I do the things I do?
Would I think of His commandments and try harder to be true? Would I follow His example, would I live more righteously? If I could see the Savior standing nigh, watching over me.
If the Savior stood beside me, would I say the things I say? Would my words be true & kind if He were never far away? Would I try to share the gospel, would I speak more reverently? If I could see the Savior, standing nigh, watching over me.
He is always near me, though I do not see Him there. And because He loves me dearly, I am in His watchful care. So I'll be the kind of person, that I know I'd like to be, if I could see the Savior standing there, watching over me''.

This is a song that made a definate impression on my soul.
(If Jesus were standing next to you for a day, how would you dress, how would you behave when you lived your life, what words & actions would you choose)? (When we meet another, respond to each other, would we try to follow the example given? Would we be strong enough to offer love, acceptance & forgiveness if the Savior were standing next to us?).
Some will say they don't believe in God. It doesn't matter. The principles in this post still have merit.
If you don't believe in God, believe in human nature? There is NOT ONE PERSON here that wants to hear hurtful words because of a belief they have. I apologize to anyone I have ever hurt here. Some posts to me reflect that I have been a hypocrite. I admit it. I have a sharp tongue & could never claim to be perfect. TY for your honesty. Just trying, like everyone else to muddle through.
The world is in turmoil. Do our homes need to be that way? Why can't we offer our friends & family a ''safe haven'' from the outside? Why can't that extend to this board? If the Savior, (or your mom/dad or mentor), were sitting next to you as you posted, or responded to YOUR NEIGHBORS... would you post differently?

No tlou, I would post the same, maybe explain to Him why I posted the way I did, but, that's why I don't ''hide'' behind a user name. I believe in what I say(some people may not, but....), that's why I sign MY name to EVERY post that I pen.
Our beliefs come from different experiences that each of us have in life. From our up bringing (or lack of it), to where/how/when we grew up. I think that it ALL plays a roll in who/what we are. Every people is ''different'' and, each of us has a ''different'' take on the same experience. IF people would explain WHY they feel a certain way, maybe it'd help the rest of us understand their viewpoint. JMHO.....Have a GREAT day! Tom.

I think you did well with this post. I also believe Tom's Reply was good. As he stated, many of our neighbors come from different backgrounds, have had many experience and have learned to react in certain ways. It seems to me that this will always be an imperfect world so all one can do is be honest and try to convey their feelings in a way so they are understood. Most people react instantly so we all need to take a moment to reflect what we want to say and how it might affect others. And in real life, I have friends and some I do not care for or agree with. Hopefully I do not have any enemies as I try to create friendships instead.
