Blast from the past

LionJack....I have a ''baby'' rootbeer mug from both A&W AND Dog and Suds. Remember Coles Inn? Still have my Reel to Reel, and a few 45's. Got several LP's yet (with a turntable). Cigarettes for $.25 a pack out of the machine @ Dick's APCO. Born 1/2 block from Brei's Standard, I was driving when gas was $.19/gal ($.16 durning price wars). But then, I was making $1.40/hr @ McCormicks Meat Market. Went to St. Mary's Grade School-GONE. Hayes High School-GONE. MCC-don't know when they'll tear that down! I remember when 60 was OLD

Tom

You have revived some wonderful memories of days gone by. The A&W had the best tenderloin sandwhiches and the rootbeer was the best. We would buy a jug of rootbeer and head to the pits to swim.

I went to Franklin Elementary and there was a small store right next to the school where you could buy candy for a penny. Pennies were easy to come buy if you checked out the cushions in the chairs at home and if you had a nickle you could have a great time buying all kinds of penny candy.
