I tried to take some carboard and plastics to one of the recycling locations today and found it full. I went to another and it was full. I tried a third and found the same conditions. The plastic bins were jammed full and over-flowing and there was cardboard piled on top of carboard on top of those containers. I found just enough space to cram my plastic in like others before me and I piled my cardboard on top of what was already there. Whoever is in charge needs schedule more time to empty these bins. It appears like many citizens are doing their best to recycle and the city needs to do a better job providing space and bins where these items can be deposited.

By afternoon, the cardboard and plastic bins are usually full. I normally go in the morning, and they've usually just emptied them. I think it would be helpful to have more space for plastic and cardboard than anything else, because that seems to be what most people recycle.

Anyway, I sometimes go to the one by Walmart, sometimes the one behind the mall, and by Fareway too. It seems to be about the same no matter which I use, that they are pretty full by afternoon. I don't know if they empty them on Sundays, either, because they're always overflowing by then.

Guess it's a good thing, because lots of folks recycle, but I understand how frustrating it is. Anyway, maybe try a different time? That worked for me.

I still wanna know

if it is true that they dump all the recycling at the dump.? Someone had said that once on here.(Or maybe it was in the Journal comments).
I want to recycle, but whats the use if they just throw it in the dump anyways?
