Muscatine

I find that I have a bit more time with my teen son & grandaughters. We have a ''homework corner'' in our kitchen; it doubles as a craft area.
My son has been working on a science project. I have had the privelege to help him with this. One of my grandaughters is working on a box for her valentines @ school. We've had fun listening to music & working on that!
While we are working & creating, the kids open up. I ''take pictures'' in my head; SNAP! Caught you laughing, being goofy...or being serious, (SNAP)! & sharing your heart w/ me. They will be forever memories FOR ME & I pray that they will have just a tiny bit of those memories as they go through life.
It's cold, way too much snow. But, it gets dark earlier. We have more time to be together & appreciate each other. So many distractions & fun things to do in the summer when the sun doesn't go down until us OLD PEOPLE gotta get to bed! LOL!

Wow, I can (vaguely) remember doing something like that in grade school along with a scrapbook of pictures other classmates would draw for a kid's birthday books. Too many years ago to remember all of the details. Wished I would have kept them. Oh, well........another cooooollllldd night tonight.

Memories; how many parents...

have kept their children's memories alive? FYI2 brings up a good point.
I struggle to keep my childhood memories alive; my parents were too busy w/ all my brothers & sisters.
As adults, we close our eyes & try to remember all of the special moments. Our children don't. They are living their lives & take life for granted. What are you all doing to keep those memories alive for them?
