Herman is correct and
If you consider that the city's tax rate is going to fall by 3.6%, even if they pass the levy, our taxes will still go down.
This is a no brainer and like Herman I voted for Howard, but never again at either the local or state level.
And Osama? Anyone that runs for office and say ''I won't raise taxes'' is little more than an idiot who is not a forward thinker. The better position is that they won't raise taxes unless it's absolutely necessary as it is now.
We can't afford to lose any more cops or firefighters.
And, if the council thought the Supervisors were dumb for not passing a county-wide levy, doesn't that make them just as dumb? A good idea is a good idea except our city council shows they have no gumption because they only think it's a good idea if the county does it so they don't look like the bad guys.
These people have no guts, and in no way whould they hold political office because they are NOT looking out for our best interests.
Sometimes the ''right'' thing isn't the easy thing, and that's what they want to do, the easy thing.
They want the city staff to come up with ways to cut the budget? Again, no political balls. They should make the cuts, they are the ones who got elected. Let them make them then live by the consequences of their actions.
Howard, Osama, Bynum, Lange all need to go.
