NAFTA?

NAFTA was actually signed by President Clinton 2 years after he took office!

Sure, both the elder Bush and Reagan were on hand for the signing.

I would love to blame all the world's ills on Bush jr.... because I truly believe he's incompetent, rather dim, and not all qualified for the office he holds.... but while NAFTA might have been started and encouraged by 2 former Republican Presidents, it was signed by Clinton. So, while I normally don't agree with BB on anything, I have to go with him on this. Short term, we shop at Walmart because it helps us maintain our family budgets. Long-term......nobody knows the true economic impact.

Damn I hate it when I agree with BB...but in this case, I have to.

Where in my post did I allude to the current shrub signing off on NAFTA? Of course Clinton signed off on NAFTA we all know that. However, NAFTA was the brain child of the Reagan/Bush 41 administrations. Clinton signed it into law because both houses had passed, drafted, and approved the measure. So in reality am I wrong in my assessment that bigbrother could be disillusioned with NAFTA?

While we're at it, could bigbrother also be disillusioned with the current administration allowing uninsured Mexican tractor trailers to travel through the corridors of our country or will you cite that as a error by Clinton as well?

Unlike

Unlike liberals; I read and listen to all sides.

Natural gas in a pipeline does not end up in gas station storage tanks or on store shelves.

I don't and have never worked in oil.

I do not and have never worked *for* a pipeline company.

You are right....Walmart is only worried about one thing...and unfortunately it's not the environment, communities they are located in, nor their employees.
