Muscatine

Did anyone see the Feasting on Asphalt show which had Muscatine on it? I was disappointed. They spent very little time on Muscatine and didn't cover Maid Rite which was invented here. I'm sure the history of the Clam Shell is interesting, but it's not local. Oh well, at least we are on TV. I have going ot e-mail the host of Dirty Jobs and invite him to come do my job for a day.

Mait Ride

A few years ago IPTV did a series about the best sandwiches across the country. They stopped at a Maid Rite in...I think it was Marshalltown... that still grinds it meat in the cellar of the restaurant. Muscatine was only mentioned briefly as the originators of the loose meat gut bombs.
