Urine test?

I'll just bet you are!

All I am saying is that if people have to be clean to get the jobs and earn wages, the others who benefit from these earnings (public assistance) should have to be clean to recieve it.

Yes, I am new to this site. I too have enjoyed our little debate but sadly we will never agree on legal or illegal drug use. As for the word booze I feel it also needs to be regulated by the government but we all know that will never happen. The drudge that I speak of includes so called upper and lower class society,if a person is involved in illegal drug use of any kind they are in my opinion lower than a snakes belly and should be delt with extreme measures. It seems that the local police spend a lot of tax dollars netting a large bust rather than going after the end user. If you take away the small fish in the sea the sharks will die off. I can spout stastics all day long but no doubt will get in return an equal amount from you in your defence,so let's agree that we dis-agree.Now as for Judge Weaver there is a topic we both agree on.(YEA) That is a topic that still needs alot of debate, you start and I'm there. Fun debate is just that and I have enjoyed your views and comments. Chosen, if your out there post on and I'll check in later for a mind expanding debate!!

My question

was, is it right to expect part of the population to be drug tested for their pay while the other part recieves pay without working, being tested, or held to any accountability. The subject has branched off in many different directions which I find fun. It tells me this is a topic we need to discuss.

Thanks to all....

And the answer is

It is the individual employer who decides whether to test or not. The Government has nothing to do with your employer testing you. And yes, the Government can and does require most or all of it's employees to be screened for drugs, but those are it's employees and it has that right.

What your employer could do to be fairer to you is require random drug testing to all incoming customers and only accept money from those who pass the test. Odds are that they'd end up catching a few welfare recipients. As long as your employer could prove that it's selection was entirely random then there could really be no claims of discrimination.

The Government on the other hand, at least up until now, does not have the authority to further decay the rights and freedoms of any person, rich or poor.
