Thanks for your enthusiastic response, bigbrother. But saying you support a candidate does not make you a member of that party. I know certain Republicans who have been school board members, and city councilmembers in Muscatine who also support Obama. And I've actually been an Obama supporter ever since he ran for Senate (I saw some of his ads, then researched his policies).

Just because I'm not majoring in journalism doesn't mean I don't know a thing or two. But in the 21st century, having the latest technology is also as important. Building a community organized/developed news website takes computer science skill most of all.

something to write about

Well I had to have SOMETHING to write about. I wanted to get a little material so I could ensure that the website was working properly (uploading news stories, adding pictures, et cetera).

That's a good idea. I've been working on a classified ad system. I could make them free, and allow anybody to post their own (there would be some kind of verification, though, that's what I've got to think of).
