house fire on Yamhill/59th

Posted in: Mt Tabor
I'm concerned about what's going to happen to that property. That whole area of Yamhill has the potential to be a high density housing nightmare. That is one of the nicest streets in our neighborhood--some great old houses. It's really scary.

House Fire

the property is zoned for no more than four or five houses. Unfortunately that can cause problems with traffic, etc.
It would be great if someone was to buy the land and build one big house - doubtful though.
House Fire

The former house sits on a 39000 square foot lot in an R5 zone. This would allow 7 or possibly 8 houses to be built on this property under current zoning regulations. This would dramatically change the character and livability of the surrounding properties. Unfortunately the possibility of someone buying the property and building a single family residence on it is very remote, but hey, hope springs eternal.

HouseFire - Any Update?

Does anyone know what's happening with that property? After 9 months, there are no "for sale" signs, and nothing's been done with the ruin... I live behind it, and I am concerned about the possibility of a "little city" beind built there! Is ther e any way to get info from the city about any current building plans?
