Have we heard back from the alderman or any one else about the sewer laterals?

Have not had a reply to our letter-will recontact the Alderman to see what the result of his inquiry was to the City Engineer and post here when we hear anything.

I had two calls this week one from Alderman Murphys assistant who said he had talked to the Mayors assistant, and that we would be receiving a response to our letter which was originally sent 6 months ago, and we resent several weeks ago.

Also received a call from our contact at the Sewerage District who indicated they did not respond to our letter of 6 months ago because they thought the city was on top of it. They said that they may have some money in their budget to look into what is being done regarding lateril breaks in the city of Racine. So at least they seem to be willing to look in to it.

Right now sewer pipes and laterils continue to break. Some of you may have noticed we have yet another water service pipe break in the 400 block of n. 40th. In early winter there was a lateril break a few feet away. There is also a small sink hole which has developed in the grassy area near the street. The big hole they dug in the street has been temporily patched.
