Variances & New Lawns

In order to install a new lawn in Greeley, you must properly prepare your soil to retain water while diminishing runoff from the lawn onto paved surfaces. To apply for a variance, the homeowner or landscape installer must bring the following items to 1100 10th St. 3rd Floor.

*An original receipt/invoice for seed or sod
*an original receipt/invoice for compost (not top soil)
*photo or receipt for rototilling or rototil rental.

A variance will be issued at the time of application. A visual inspection of the property will occur within one week of the issued variance. If the lawn is found to be in non-compliance the variance will be revoked.
The compost must be added at a minimum rate of 4 cubic yards per 1000 square feed of area.

Drive Safely

As summer approaches there will be more people outside enjoying our weather. Please pay special attention as you enter the neighborhood for children playing. Thank you!

Bird Watchers

Spring has sprung and the birds are out in full force. At Mtn. Vista we are lucky to have so much open space to enjoy our feathery friends. Take the time out and notice the many different kinds of birds in our community. Please pay close attention when walking in our tall grassy areas as many birds, including pheasants, will use this space for nesting. If you are interested in learning about local birds, a good resource is "Birds of the Front Range" by Chris Fisher.

Be a good neighbor

With our high winds in Greeley and our neighborhood still under construction, please be a good neighbor and pick up any blowing trash. Finally, please pick up after your dog when out and about in the community. Let's keep Mountain Vista beautiful!
