Did you know that many code enforcement violations are handled by the City of Greeley? Listed below are a few of the main violations that the City can enforce in our neighborhood. If you see one of the following violations at Mtn. Vista, please feel free to contact Code Enforcement at 350-9833. You may leave a message 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Animal At Large: Greeley Municipal Code 7.12.040-"Any animal that is at large is a public nuisance" (carries fine of $35)

Defecation w/o Cleanup: Greeley Municipal Code 7.12.150-"any animal that defecates upon public property or private property not owned by the animal's owner, and such excreta is not immediately removed by the owner is a public nuisance ($45 fine)

Refuse/Trash Accumulation: Greeley Municipal Code 9.16.120: "It is the duty of every person, whether owner, agent or tenant of any building, premises or vacant lot...at all times to maintain the premises in a clean and orderly condition, permitting no deposit or accumulation of refuse other than those ordinarily attendant upon the use for which such premises are legally intended." (You are also only allowed to place your trash, garbage or refuse containers for pick up on public right-of-ways for one (1) twenty-four hour period

Control Of Weeds-Greeley Municipal Code 9.16.080: No owner, tenant or agent of any lot...shall allow or permit weeds to grow, or remain when grown, on such lot... or along a sidewalk or street adjoining the same or in the alley behind the same"

Unlawful Noise-Greeley Municipal Code 9.32.060: A persons commits this violation if he or she uses or operates sound amplifying equipment (1) outdoors except between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m., (2) indoors, but for for projection of the sound so as to reach persons out of doors except b/w 7 a.m. and 10 p.m.

Inoperable Vehicle: Greeley Municipal Code 9.36.010 defines "inoperable" as a "condition of being junked, wrecked, wholly or partially dismantled, discarded, abandoned or unable to perform the functions or purpose for which it was originally constructed" "Vehicle" means any trailer, automobile, truck, bus, motor home, camper, motorcycle, motor scooter, tractor, snowmobile, dune buggy and other off-road vehicle.

Greeley Municipal Code 9.36.030 says that it is unlawful to park, store or deposit or permit to be parked an inoperable vehicle unless it is enclosed in a garage or other building.
