YARD SPAM

Posted in: Crescent Hill
If you would like to opt out of receiving the unsolicited Courier Journal ''yard spam''-plastic bags over ads and/or the Wednesday ''Neighborhood Section of the paper'', you can call the circulation department at CJ. Of course, you will probably have to call more than once but I think it would be worth it. We try to keep the neighborhood clean and they come twice a week to throw stuff in your yard!

As you probably know by now, the Louisville Council has addressed this issue (finally) which I find very affirming.  The lawyer for Courier Journal has resisted  by saying that if the Council proceeds with ruling, he will fight based on first amendment right of speech.  Now that's a real stretch!  More like freedom to cast unwanted trash on your property (or on the sidewalk, driveway or roadway)!  The "paper" in plastic is filled with ads with some copy from the Crescent Hill/Highland Neighborhood section.  Haven't heard any updates in a while...
