Since I live near Glisan on 78th, I often go over to Touchstone Coffee House on Glisan and 76th. If you haven't been there, stop in. It's a warm and friendly place with a garden in the back.
I've gotten to know the owner, Becki. She and her coffee shop are a wonderful addition to our neighborhood. She's donated coffee for the volunteers at our Spring clean up in April and even has a prime spot established for distributing our neighborhood newsletter.
I spoke with her this weekend and she has had a misunderstanding with her landlord. Because of this, she has to come up with approx $2500 within the next two weeks.
It would be a shame for us to loose this lovely spot in our neighborhood. She has been taking donations to pay the amount due. If you would like to contribute any amount, please do so! Or just stop by and offer her moral support. She can use all the help she
can get right now.
