Good...but Not Perfect

Feb 10, 2001

Did you know that our neighborhood is not perfect? It is a good place to live and to go to school...but it is not perfect.

You see, we need help. We get a certain amount of help from the police and firefighters, from the traffic department and garbage collections-help to keep our homes safe and livable. We need these people.

The Montavilla Community as a whole group also need YOUR help--to deliver newsletters, to work on the Adopt-a-Cop Program, as a Welcome Wagon infomation gatherer, as a hostess or door greeter. No matter what it is you would like to do, we can use you. Why not clean someone's yard this Spring? If you have a truck, why not volunteer to pick up seniors' yard debris during the Spring Clean Up? Our neighborhood is two miles long and one mile wide, and includes over 5000 houses and apartments-from I-84 to Division. So come on board and help.

Here's a list of possibilities for volunteering: Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, Land Use, Transportation, Public Safety/Crime Prevention, Livability, Parks & Open Spaces, Community Relations, Newsletter Editor, Newsletter Delivery, Web Master, Business Rep for Halsey-Glisan-Stark-Division, Neighborhood Clean Ups, Hostess or Door Greeter, Historian, and Party Planner. Pick the one that interests you, and come to our next meeting.
