I can only say that I was in D.C. in March with my family during the time when the Tea Party had decended upon Capitol Hill in droves to protest the coming vote on health care.

You'll remember that there were many allegations that these folks hurled the n word about, and even spat on some congressmen as they walked from the Capitol building to their offices.  This has never been proven despite a reward of 100,000 dollars for any video of such action.

The day after the demonstrations, a park police officer told me that the crowd had been exceptionally well behaved, and that they had left behind not so much as a gum wrapper on the Capitol grounds.  He also said that after the Obama Inaugural, it took 24 hours and a crew of end loaders to remove the trash.

This ought to tell anyone in doubt all they need to know!

I guess the simplest way to define the Dems/Libs attacks on anything conservative, as in this tea party issue, is to look back on the last election turn out, where-in Republican voters in the primary, out-numbered the Dems 3 to 1 and 4 to 1 in some places, registering to vote as Repubs. Dems made a TERRIBLE showing, even locally.

These results alone all tell me that the majority of registered voters have no issues with the tea-partiers, even since the libs were crying about them long before the election! If it had....dems would have registered in droves when, instead, they failed in their civic duties.

They sure are gettin' scared. And just yesterday, MSNBC released polls showing the lowest favor-ability ratings on record yet for nobama, the pres from Kenya.

I agree there are racist with in every movement out there. This is why it is important for the Tea Party to denounce it. They haven't. There silence is alarming to many, including NAACP. The NAACP is simply asking for the Tea Party to state they do not support racist words, pictures, or actions. It doesn't seem like a hard thing to do, unless.....

I see no reason for the Tea Party to comment on these demands by the NAACP. They do not condone those types of actions and if they said that they were denouncing anything at all, the NAACP would twist that all around to suit their agenda.

Remember when Palin was defending herself in the barrage from Letterman? All it served to do was bring more attention to the garbage that spilled from Letterman. I hope the Tea Party will not enter yet another fray .

You state that the Tea Party's silence in this matter is alarming to many - are you alarmed or trying to sound like this is some gawd-awful alarming situation that will harm many if not immediately rectified?
