Ready for Cat 3 Hurricane?

Posted in: St Andrews
If our homes are destroyed, are there ways we can speed search and rescue, and protection of our property? Who would communicate for us with those who fled the storm and concerned loved ones? How can we speed reconnection of our lines of communication? Where do we stand on the plans for community restoration of power, telephone, water and sewer? Our HOA should take the lead by establishing connection with the county emergency coordinator (whenever that position is filled) and finding ways to help us be better prepared.

Citizen Emergency Response Teams

We need volunteers to monitor and report the approach of flood waters, the accumulation of local rain, and wind conditions. We also need volunteers who can possibly provide some assistance in removing street debris and help speed our neighborhood recovery. If you are willing to volunteer, email me.
Fire Department Alerts

Our fire district coordinator is forwarding a request to the fire department to upload timely alerts of flooding, road obstruction, and help to our web site during severe storms. As always, I am confident our outstanding fire department volunteers will help if possible
