How can you help Hawthorn School? Join the following committee: OK City Community Foundation Clean and Beautiful Schools Program.

The Clean and Beautiful Schools Program was developed to support and encourage the improvement and overall maintenance of school grounds and facilities. The program provides schools with an organizational structure, professional landscape guidance, an aerial Photograph, an overall
beautification plan and funding of the initial implementation.
The goals of the program are raising awareness of beautification community
wide; improving of neighborhoods by first improving schools; teaching
students about community pride, stewardship of the environment and
cleanliness, and establishing and sustaining broad community support and
interest.

Each school is required to have a committee with a strong interest in
campus and neighborhood improvements. The committee will include the
participation of students, teachers, school administrators, school district maintenance staff, parents, neighborhoods and community and business representatives for that particular school.

What else can you do to help Hawthorne School?

Each year Miller Neighborhood Association holds a back to school drive for Hawthorne School. Residents are asked to select one item or more from Hawthorne's Wish List provided by the school. These items may be brought to the Association's Annual Founders Day Picnic held each September. Items will be used by children from Kindergarden through Fifth Grade. Check out the "Wish List for Students" below. Cash will also be accepted. A committee will use the cash donations to purchase the most needed items.
