Midtown Parents & Kids

Storytelling Hour

Jun 16, 2004

On Thursday, April 22, 2004, Midtown Parents & Kids is co-sponsoring the annual Storytelling Hour associated with St. Joseph Montessori and Second Avenue Elementary schools?’ Central Ohio Writers of Literature for Children conference. The Storytelling Hour is free and will feature authors Arthur Dorros, Raymond Bial and Patricia Hermes. The entire community is welcome to attend. This year, MPK is teaming with St. Joseph Montessori School?’s Cub Scout Pack 244 for What a Crock!, a community dinner to precede the Storytelling Hour. The scouts will provide an array of crock-pot dinner samples for a nominal charge. MPK needs a few volunteers to help sell beverages and desserts. Dinner will run from 5:00 to 6:15 p.m., stories from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. If you are available to volunteer for an hour or so, please contact Stacey Blasko at 298-9099 or sblasko@wowway.com.
MPK recently distributed its annual babysitting directory via e-mail. If you did not receive the directory, you may send a request to shuttled@yahoo.com, or send a self-addressed stamped envelope to Stacey Blasko at 1027 Neil Avenue, 43201.
MPK is a volunteer organization that supports family living in the Short North neighborhoods. We currently have two vacancies on our Board. Anyone interested in helping MPK serve our neighborhood families, please consider an appointment to the Board. The time commitment is minimal, and it?’s a great way to meet area parents. Contact Stacey Blasko at 298-9099 or sblasko@wowway.com.
