Why don't people use this forum?

Posted in: Middletown Village
I've been a resident since the summer and when I found this forum, I was surprised that noone used it. I think it's a great way to air some of your frustrations--some other neighbors might be thinking the same thing. I wave at my neighbors, but with all the running around we all do, sometimes there isn't time to stop and talk.

This forum could be like a sounding board. Not like a complaints only kinda thing, but a place to ask if anyone has noticed the same thing as you have.

I think this forum's link should be provided on the newsletter--just to circulate it. Maybe many people don't know about it--it is the age of the internet! :o) Thanks!

This address is in fact on the newsletter. That's how I found it. I am on here almost weekly to see if anything gets posted and nothing ever happens. The right people need to find this site. There are people who just don't care or are afraid to speak up!! We can keep it going!!

i found it on the newsletter. i was hoping to find more involved discussions here as well. so far i haven't noticed any of the problems you have, but i live over in the new construction, not too many people come over here yet. brookmont farms??? i read this somewhere else but i think it was you Jen who wrote it? are you serious? is that your opinion or are other people saying that? that makes me really nervous. i don't want to live any place that resembles sparrow run or whatever they are calling it now.

Don't let me scare you....

Laura,

Overall the neighborhood is very nice. As with many neighborhoods there are some bad seeds. I grew up in Middletown and the town has changed dramatically. The original ''townees'' have concocted the notion of Brookmont farms because they are not used to the suburban sprawl. Middletown and grown dramatically in a short time and it's like a culture shock to people. The ''originals'' just do not want to see Middletown end up like some other areas of the state. It used to be just a small quaint town surrounded by farms and everyone knew everyone else. Now when you go into the Acme it's hard to find people you know.
