My husband and I are currently in the process of having a fence put up on our property - Actually we have set up the surveyor and are shopping different companies for installation - I was wondering where I could find a copy of the deed of restrictions or any other information that might be useful, regarding what we can and can not due for the process of putting up a fence. I was under the impression, that we had to have it surveyed, contact the Town of Middletown's Building Code Office, and that the fence must be under or at 4 feet? Does anyone else know of other rules I might have missed? Also, is there any fence building company that you would recommend? I've seen a lot of really nice fences through the development and we would like to stay semi-consistent with everyone else's design. Thanks so much!!!

Fences

I used Newark Fence company and I am very happy with my fence. I know that you need to get approval from the Maintance Corp. (Mr. Ramunno) for any fences or other exterior changes. He is the owner of Lenape builders and the developer. He is also the one that you send your $50 annual fee to.

I know 4 ft. is the max. No privacy fences are allowed. I went with a post & rail fence with wire mesh to keep in my dogs. It looks great and is very functional.

Good Luck with your fence.
