Hi Carolyn, Janet and Jeff,

Would you please forward this email, with the attachment, to as many MRC neighbors' emails

that you know?  Please ask them to make every effort to attend the meeting on October 6th, but

at the very least, send an email to Ken Bieri.  They can choose to use my email as a start, copy

and paste everything, or create their own message.  Finally, ask them to send this email to as

many MRC neighbors' emails that they know.  I hope this would then tap almost everyone on the

shoulder to tell the planning board that the majority doesn't want the deed amended.

Thanks a lot for your help!

Scot

Hello Mr. Bieri,

I'm writing to let you know that as a resident of Middle Run Crossing, I disapprove the proposal to amend the deed for the Dempsey property at the corner of Paper Mill road and Corner Ketch road.

I, along with many others in my neighborhood as well as Joe Miro's congressional district, do not want a pharmacy/drug store to be built on that site.  A large majority of us voiced our opposition during the information meeting with Joe Miro on August 19th at Hockessin Fire Hall.

We believe that it is not only not needed, but it will be a detriment to our community.  There will be more traffic and noise.  There will be irreversible road construction on Corner Ketch road.  There will be more tractor trailer volume.  There would be more safety issues with more cars and pedestrians at the already congested and dangerous intersection.  There will be more of an opportunity for juveniles to loiter.

Dempsey's Whiteman's Garage has been a iconic symbol in that area for many years.  It demonstrates the success of a rural family's risk in building a small business in their community. We would much rather see an establishment of similar services than a large corporation's pharmacy store.

Please consider this as the desire of the majority in the community that would be negatively affected if the planning board allows the deed to be amended.  I appreciate your consideration.

Sincerely,
