Probably because the HOA didn't enforce the rules on all homes when they were built.  Also everyone is supposed to have a "bricked" mailbox but they don't.

The last statement in your post sums up the way the so called Home owners association self appointed board. Voting at the times when no one but them are at the meetings. When someone goes to the meeting things are railroaded. I attended one meeting when it was said that  the Mexicans or white trash can not afford to hire a attorney so don't be concerned about what is discrimation.

Can you please tell me if this comment was made at the Friends of Steeple Ridge hoa? My family is considering purchasing a home in the community, if we are relocated for business reasons. I am Caucasian, but my husband - who is very education and a high level executive and military veteran - while born in NY, is of Mexican heritage. We have a young son and do not want to settle anywhere with prejudice that will affect him. Coming from the NE we are aware that there may be increased racism in some areas, but no child should be exposed to that. The Keller ISD and family atmosphere is the reason the community is appealing to us and we want what is best for our son. Any help you can off is greatly appreciated.
