Palmer Community Garden in Full Swing

Palmer Summer Update

School is out for the year, but that doesn’t mean Palmer Elementary won’t be full of activities over the summer. . .

The new Palmer Community Garden is in full swing. Almost all 15 plots are planted. Say “hello” to your new neighborhood gardeners as you pass by the school this summer.

For about 40 Palmer children school will be in session from June 20-July 17. Students involved in the Summer Scholars literacy program will be here from 8:30-4:00 everyday for the four-week session.

You might see some large trucks and other construction vehicles on the school grounds this summer. After several years of fundraising, Palmer students are getting a new playground! Contractors will be here over an eight-week period installing the new playground equipment.
