The Neighborhood would like to extend many thanks to Matt and Yvonne for hosting the little get together on Sunday night. It's always fun to see inside these great old homes.
A big WELCOME to all of the new folks that have recently moved to our little spot of town. We are glad you're here and encourage you all to come to the get togethers so we can get to know you formally instead of resorting to peeking in your windows and reading your mail.
Ho. Ho. Humbug and can-shaped cranberry sauce. Love it or hate it, the holiday season is coming. Everyone is encouraged to decorate for the holidays. If the neighborhood is decked out in lights, props, and those big air-powered snowglobes people will drive through at a snails pace to soak in all the festive decor. You know that OG&E would really appreciate 25,000 lights on every home. Getting the knots out of all those strands of lights is much more fun when you can hand the job off to a kid. It builds character and takes them off of the streets. They may complain, but ensure them that one day perhaps they can pass the tradition on to their kids.
Odds are that if you are reading this, then you are one that is involved and cares about your neighborhood. So this part is probably for your next door neighbor more than you..... Leave on your porchlights at night! For many reasons, especially because it cuts down on crime and makes the neighborhood feel like a safer place to take an evening stroll.
Remember, this website is here for everyone to use. Help yourself. Thanks for helping to make our neighborhood the best in town.
See you all on the sidewalks.
