Mission

To serve as the catalyst for creating, linking, and supporting community-based partnerships that work to improve the health and nutrition as well as the quality of life of communities in Pennsylvania.

2003- 04 PRIORITY GOALS

?• Strengthen role as statewide advocate for healthy communities.
?• Mobilize restaurants and corporate systems as leaders and partners in the healthy communities?’ movement.
?• Coach community change processes and community mobilization.
?• Provide leadership and collaborate with diverse public, private, church and nonprofit organizations.

HOW WE ASSIST COMMUNITIES

Coaching Community Change- Educational activities include:

1. Customized Educational Programs and Presentations
2. Sponsorship of the Pennsylvania Healthy Communities Summit
3. Health & Nutrition Communities Newsletter

Consultant/Facilitation Support- the staff has diverse expertise and can assist leaders in communities, new and mature partnerships, nutrition care, business, government, and other arenas by providing:

1. Individual and Group Consultation
2. Partnership, community and Leadership Development
3. Meeting Facilitation
4. Strategic Planning
5. Legislative and Regulatory Assistance
