Marlborough Mesa's 9th Annual Christmas Toy Drive and Picnic at the Park will be the 1st Saturday of December this year (Dec. 5th 9-11:30 am). As always, Santa will be there for pictures with the individual children and to collect the toys our own children bring to donate for needy children. The boutique will be back for you to do your Christmas shopping by supporting your neighbors. Also, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to charity. Center Street (Center Street, north of McKellips Road) Event hours are 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon Materials are not accepted after 12:00 noon Dates, times and locations subject to change. ACCEPTABLE ITEMS Adhesives Aerosol cans Antifreeze Appliances (limit 2) Automobile tires (limit 5); rims are accepted if the tire has been removed Batteries Electronics (e.g.- computers, televisions, stereos, VCRs, DVD players, cell phones, etc.) Fluorescent and compact fluorescent light bulbs Fuel additives Gasoline Mercury Motor oil Paint, polishes & varnishes Paint related materials Pesticides Pool chemicals Small arms ammunition Transmission fluid Turpentine ITEMS NOT ACCEPTED 55 gallon drums of material Commercial / Industrial waste Explosives Large truck tires Prescription Medication Radioactive material GENERAL INFORMATION Residents should be prepared to show their most recent trash bill. Residents are asked to remain in their vehicles while at drop-off site. Please DO NOT place household hazardous waste materials in your black barrel or in your blue or green recycling barrels. Please seal the material in its original container if possible. Please label unmarked containers if contents are known. Please DO NOT place household hazardous waste materials or small containers in black plastic or other bags. Use cardboard boxes or other containers that allow household hazardous waste materials / small containers to be clearly visible.
