About three weeks ago, in late May 2013, I drove up to Telegraph Hill and was sitting in my parked car when an animal appeared and was right next to my car (I think it was interested in the contents of the trash can that was there). I thought it was a large dog at first, but then it was a coyote.  I was a little apprehensive about it's presence, and it saw me and was bit apprehensive about my presense and was quite still for a few minutes, and then it took off.  A few minutes later a giant raccon climbed onto the trash can and went to town.  It was a really wild night up there.
