I admire the new sign at the entry to Mansion Farm development at the corner of Mansion Farm Drive and Viscaya Drive.  However, I would like to know if there are any plans or funds in the budget for future landscaping around the sign.  I know the previous sign at the end of R.C. Peoples Blvd only had grass around it.

Once I noticed that weeds began to take over around the new sign, I took it upon myself to plant some of my own perennial plants (Hosta, Summer Gerenium, Hard Mum and Sedum) around the sign and mulched it with pine needles from across the street, since I am staying out of public places (Home Depot) to get actual mulch. I just wanted to make it clear that if there is a future plan for that spot, please feel free to change it as you see it fit.  If not, then perhaps some actual mulch could be placed over the pine needles for a nicer curb appeal....:-)

Thank youSmile

Hello neighbor and thanks for your interest (and your contribution) to the new sign. Thanks also for your "admiration" as well. I spent a lot of time with the design and initially getting Nicole Poore's office to pay for the sign for us, so it is beyond nice to hear some positive responses to it.

There actually was the intention of planting around the sign set for the spring, but a combination of the cold weather and the pandemic has put a damper on things. We have an upcoming board meeting (remotely of course) the beginning of May and I will be sure to bring it up at that meeting. I will post the result on this website when I get more information from the board.

In case you didn't notice, we also replaced the interior of the sign near the Viscaya pond. The brick was holding up well and only the interior sign was faded and in need of an update. Leaving the original brickwork in place saved us a lot of money on the second sign, which we did have to pay for.
