What has happened to the MFMC board interest in getting this pond and ditch and the shrubs on the corners cleaned up. The pond looks worse then it has in years the ditch is just plain overgrown. Both are serious mosquito breeding ground.

We in phase one have paid a lot of money to the MFMC for nothing.

Now the grass cutters have stopped cutting the apron around the pond.

I hope the people in phase one remember the looks of this area when the next election comes up.

I think phase one residents should consider not paying any dues. After all

we get nothing for our 150 a year. I do not think this board even knows where Phase One is.

I agree with the above statement to the point that the pond does look terrible and needs to have some work completed.

I think the other issue is that when elections come up someone from Phase 1 should consider running for a position on the board.  I served on the board when the development was first built and served 5 years.  This way these issues can be addressed at the board meeting.  Also, my understanding is board meetings are open and residents can attend.  Can the board please post the upcoming board meetings and locations?

Hi. Thank you for the feedback. This particular pond is controlled by the county. We have called many times this year about getting it cleaned up. We ask that you also call the county to let them know how bad it looks. The number to call is 302-395-5555. If we get enough people calling they will have to act sooner or later.

We also encourage a homeowner from phase 1 to run for the board. We need all the help we can get. It would help with communication and getting more people involved.

Currently we have two open meetings a year for the community. Last year we had a 3rd open board meeting and only a couple homeowners showed up. The next open meeting is in September, with a news letter coming out as well. If you have a particular topic you wish to discuss, please contact Sylvia at denforcer@comcast.net or by phone at 302-832-5893.

Thanks,

MFMC Board
